Who writes Chip-In and how it is checked
An independent site about sharing a CNFans order with friends. Here is how it is paid for, what it checked, and how to tell us when it is wrong.
An independent page about group orders
CNFans Spreadsheet Chip-In is an independent site about one narrow subject: friends sharing a CNFans order and a parcel. It is not run by CNFans and has no say in how CNFans works. Nothing here is an official CNFans statement unless it is quoted and dated as one.
The tally on the home page runs entirely in your browser. It does not store what you type, send it anywhere, or ask for names; initials are enough, and closing the page clears everything.
Pages are written in plain English for people organising their first group order. Where we describe how shopping agents usually work, rather than what CNFans itself has said, the text says so.
How the links pay for the site
The catalog shelves and the search box link to a product catalog with a referral tag attached, and this site may earn a commission when those links lead to orders. That is how Chip-In is paid for. No seller, shop or carrier pays to be mentioned.
Our two cnfans.com buttons carry a tag as well, which only marks the visit as coming from Chip-In. While the maintenance notice is up, they point at the front page alone. If the shop reopens, they will point at the sign-up page with our invite code, and the wording here will change on the same day.
Links to customs authorities and other official pages carry no tag; they are there so you can read the source yourself.
A tag is nothing more than a label on the address. It gives us no access to your account, and no view of what anyone in your group buys.
Dated checks behind these pages
On 19 October 2026 we requested three cnfans.com addresses (home, registration and an invented path) and got the same maintenance notice from each. On the same day we read the CBP, GOV.UK and Your Europe pages quoted on this site in a desktop browser and saved copies of the text.
CNFans facts from before the maintenance come from two pages, the homepage and the sign-up page, as they rendered on 23 August 2026. We did not have the help articles, the fee pages or any logged-in screens, and the site says so wherever that gap matters.
The tally's arithmetic was cross-checked against a separate implementation on 5,000 random cases, including blank weights and rounding to the cent. Every catalog link was opened before publication, and outbound links are re-tested before each update so that dead links are removed rather than left in place.
Where Chip-In stands on counterfeit goods
Chip-In is about dividing costs and responsibilities fairly among friends. It is not a sourcing guide, and it will not steer anyone towards goods that copy another company's trademarks or designs, nor offer tips for getting such goods past a border.
Buying counterfeit goods carries legal risk in many countries, and in a group order that risk lands on the receiver, whose name is on the box. That alone is a good reason for every friend to choose items they would be comfortable explaining.
If you think a shelf linked from this site is being used to sell counterfeits, write to us and we will look at it.
Fixing what we got wrong
For an account or order question, use the contact route in the current official CNFans notice. This independent guide cannot access orders.
Keep the page and source together when recording a discrepancy. This site has no verified reader-support inbox and cannot resolve orders, customs assessments or disputes. For an account issue use the current official CNFans contact route.
Reports about cnfans.com itself are especially useful. If you see the shop working again before we do, tell us the date and the address you loaded, and the status line will be rechecked.
Dated changes to Chip-In
Last updated 20 October 2026. This is the first version of Chip-In: thirteen pages, the chip-in tally, and the customs quotations read on 19 October 2026.
Each later change will be listed here with its date: a new status reading of cnfans.com, a corrected fact, a change to how the links work, or a page added or removed. The status line on the home page always shows the date it was last read.
The current pages retain their original URLs. Dated source notes distinguish archived evidence from later editorial corrections; this is not a promise that every external change has been monitored.
